Years ago I bought a used marlin glenfield model 36 in .30-30. As of this date I have not been able to find any informartion or any listing of this rifle. I know since it's a glenfield that it has very little collector value, but it shoots as well as any other marlin .30-30. It's not in the blue book, or maybe I missed it.

It's got the round bolt. As I recall by the serial prefix it was made in the middle 60's.

Would like to know who marlin made it for and how many were produced.

My guess is for one of the discount houses. Probably K-Mart, or such.

I've got a Glenfield mod30. With birch stock and half-magazine, it's about a pound lighter than my M336C with Walnut stock in .35rem.

Try over at www.marlinowners.com. You'll likely get a better answer over there. One of the "lurkers" is a Marlin employee. He may know exact anwser.
