Well here we go again, another .22 Auto giving me fits. The rifle will shoot fine but flat out refuses to eject the spent shell. I've replaced the right extractor both extractor springs, checked the trigger assembly. BTW it feeds the first round into the chamber perfectly, however after firing the weapon it refuses to let go of the spent case. I'm aware that the two extractors have different tension springs and that problem has been addressed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you checked to see if the ejector - a spring wire near the feed ramp - is still there? If the extractors are pulling the case from the chamber, but doesn't eject, the problem is most likely the ejector not the extractors.

take a good look at the chamber, if it has been dry fired to much you can get a dimple on the edge of the chamber , case will feed but after it is fired the dimple at the rear of the case will "PIN" the case in , MidWay USA sell a tool to fix that by rolling it out smooth again .

hog hunting, I do believe you've got it, I've noticed the ejection spring looks a little warped and loose, guess I'll have to take that completely apart and replace the spring.

I've cleaned that thing completely inside and out, and also checked the chamber for dings, as it fires fine just won't eject the spent cartridge, holds on to it thru extraction.

Should not have to replace the spring, it is the tail of the lifter spring and probably just needs tweaked slightly. There is a groove in the feed throat it fits into, not tightly, just guides it to the groove in the bottom of the bolt. This feed ramp groove might be full of debris and letting the spring deviate from its proper path or the ejector spring just might need to be bent upward slightly. If it is too high, it will drag and slow the bolt travel causing miss feeds. Tweak and try.

hoghunting had it right went down to my local gunsmith shop today and got the spring. The old one had the tip broken off, once replaced, it feeds and ejects just like it's supposed to. Sure is a bear to put that lower assembly back together again. Lost one of the c-clips, so I'm gonna have to get another one before I return the gun.

Anyway, I want to thank all of you for coming to my rescue, especially hoghunting, thanks again.:)

Glad it was an easy fix. I have also had to replace a couple of the C-clips too and went to the hardware store, one was the perfect size and one was just a bit larger, a little squeeze with the pliers solved that problem.
