Have a new 1895 Guide gun in 45-70 that if you chamber a round too slow from the magazine the mag lifter jams the gun and you have to disconnect the lever from the frame to unjam the gun. Same thing happened with a mod 336 in .444 that I've had for 30+ years but the small screw on the receiver opposite the ejection port was loose, it wasn't new when this occurred. What's a good fix on this new gun?

marlin jam

i jammed mine trying to slow cycle when i was a kid ,and i saw another guy do it trying to check his chamber and he opened it a little too far. we took the tube mag out and unjammed them . if their is an easy way then to unjam one someone let me know

Don't try to slow cycle it??
Lever-guns like to be man-handled.

As long as they don't jam when operated briskly?

You don't have a problem.

If you want it slow & easy?
Send it off to a Cowboy Action gunsmith and get everything polished & honed slicker then owl snot on a glass doorknob.
