Marlin vs. Winchester .357 or .44

:D I don't know now...my dad has a .357 lever....and he intends to boar hunt with it. Maybe I'll back him up with a Remi 870 and a tube full -o- slugs.

Then again, I think a well placed .357 should "git-er done".
 
I would go with the Winchester, I've never had a problem out of mine and I have shot it extensively. It requires you to really work the lever with a lot of force but if you do that then you have no problems. It's also a little more trim and lightweight than the Marlin something I definatly prefer. Basically just buy the one you feel more comfortable pointing. I never was comfortable with the Marlin, I think it was the pistol grip as opposed to the straight wrist that is the difference for me.
