I picked up a new Marlin xt-22ro. It was on sale for $200 and included a premounted factory scope. Scope is cheap looking, but surprisingly clear and works great with 3-9 powered x32 objective lens.
So, I've ran 500 rounds through it. Started with Winchester bulk ammo at 25 yards. Only used a sandbag for a front rest. 1/2 inch groups at 25 yards. 1 inch at 50 yards.
Took it out today and shot winchester and then Federal Lightning. Both showed very similar results. 2 inch groups at 100 yards with some flyers. Positive that most were my fault.
Bolt is very smooth, nice fit for me with this stock. No failure to feed or ejects. Every round fired. I'm very pleased.
Next time, I'll try some subsonic ammo and see if the groups will tighten up a bit.
