Back in August 2019 when Walmart were having their half price fire sales I went to get the Remington ADL .223.

On the shelf was this Marlin XT, not on sale but was $200, so I got it also. Went down the isle and grabbed a $35 Simmons 22 mag scope for it.

Did final sight in and ammo test last weekend at 50 yards. CCI FMJ, Federal FMJ, Hornady 30GR V-MAX all all hitting pretty much center now, so those will be my top three choices now. Getting nickle sized groups so far maybe not tack driver accuracy, considering the scope and maybe my skill, but not bad IMO all considered.

Might get some Armscor ammo later to test also.

The trigger on it is exceptional, very light, very crisp.

I might get a .22lr with tube magazine later on.

Had a Marlin 886 in 22 mag., now belongs to my son, it would shoot some size groups all day with just about any ammo. I zeroed it with Hornady Amax, dime size group at 100 yards, bought CCI next time cause it was available still dime size group at 100 yards, but it was 3" low left. Love them Marlins.

I have the Tube Fed 22Mag Marlin and it's been an excellent shooter. I got it a few months before they announced the discontinuing of the tube fed model. With ammo it likes its easily nickel size at 50 yards and quarter size at 100 yards. I've been offered stupid money for that rifle and I just can't let it go.

My kids bought me an XT-22 Mag stainless a while back. For a factory rifle,I’ve never had a better trigger. It’s accurate too,and a lot of fun at the range.CCI 40 grains shot the best,so far,the Hornady 30 grains, not so much. Still have different ammo to try when it comes available, but this is a great little rifle, especially for the price. I may replace the stock with a laminate, but for now,I like it.

Bought one of those Marlin XT 22 magnum rifles 7-8 years back. I put a Simmons 3x9 22 Magnum scope on mine and it has been a great shooter for me It loves those Hornady 30 grain red tip rounds.
