Just got back from taking the new Marlin 925 out for it's maiden voyage. I bought it yesterday to replace the Remington 597 jammomatic (from earlier thread) that I sold yesterday.
The new rifle is bolt action, hardwood laminate stock, 7 shot mag, blued steel, and a little more heft and length then the rifle it replaces had.
At 50 yards with the irons it was hitting low, but lined up very well on the centerline. Paperwork that came with it states the rifle is function test fired and pre-sighted at the factory. Seems to be true. *Take note of this Remington. With a couple bumps of the elevation ramp this thing was dead on for 50 and then the fun began. With Winny Power Points I was hitting 12 gauge shotgun shells easily at 50 yards. Turned a coffee can to swiss cheese. Did one 7 shot group to paper and it was about an inch. Now I had a big sh*t eatin' grin on my face! No jams! No failure to fire! No stovepipes! I imagine if I scope the thing it'll be phenomenal.
Marlin 925 .22LR, 2 thumbs up!
