Does anybody know what handgun he owned that was used in the shooting incident he was purportedly involved in?

I ask because Sal Paolantonio from ESPN reported that he was told by Lynne Abraham that it was a "rare, armor-piercing handgun", which is already bunk because the rounds, not the handgun, are "armor-piercing". Nevertheless, I'm curious about what "rare" handgun it is.

Watch it be a Glock or something. If we take "rare" to mean "uncommon", it might be a FN Five-seveN as it is possible to get armor-piercing rounds for it. It might also be something in 357SIG. Of course, I'm just guessing here, but the statement struck me as absurd and typical of the media ignorance of guns, not to mention that he got it from Lynne Abraham, a noted anti-gun DA from Philadelphia (albeit an honest one given her non-enforcement stance on Nutter's preemptive gun laws).

No clue but im really hoping that he is found to have not been involved.

If you would have paid a bit more attention to what Paolantonio reported, you would know it wasn't a Glock...

In May, Philadelphia police detectives told ESPN that six of the bullet casings found after the April 29 shooting on the street corner across the street from Harrison's car wash and garage came from a gun -- a rare, armor piercing Belgian-made pistol -- that Harrison surrendered to police. The police have been intent on solving the case because they want to discourage ownership of such guns.

Thank you for your condescension. I looked for the written report and I couldn't find it. What I heard was the SportsCenter report.

Next time, could you just answer the question instead of being a jerk about it? Thank you.

.

When I saw that on tv yesterday, I just *knew* that was going to pop up here! I was curious about the gun in question, too.

Rare compared to glocks and sigs, sure.
But any gun that can be readily purchased through retailers like CDNN shouldn't be considered rare.

I have one, and I'm not a rare gun collector kind of person. It's just a regular gun (that I happen to be selling).

Can't get armor piercing rounds for it though, that is for sure. Those are what are rare.
