Matchking & gameking

Greetings,

I just want to make sure I am not confused before I order:

I zeroed my M1A with Sierra Matchking 2200C 168GR .308.
I am looking at SIERRA BULLETS 30 CAL .308 DIA 165GR SPITZER BOAT TAIL GAMEKING bullets (I think the number is 2145).

I am correct that the ballistic is the same wit both and I will have the same POI with both with the same components/charge?


EDIT The 165 grains are at Misouth Shooter Supplies.

They are 168 grains.....I wonder if one of them made a typo mistake.

Sierra's website has the BC different for the MK vs. the GK.

The BC for each is different but up to 200 yards, they'll likely hit near the same spot.

I could swear I read somewhere the matchking bullets 168gr had a counter part in hunting bullets with same POI. Oh well.....

If the weights are different but close, they may have the same POI out to a certain distance. If you look at a GK vs a MK, you will see a very noticeable difference on the tip. The hollowpoint on the MK is a smooth tip with the hole being nice and even. the hollowpoint on the GK is crimped.

I hunt with hornady 165 grain bullets and target shoot with sierra match kings (168 grain). The poi is about 4 inches differant at 600 yards and not noticable out to 400.
