This is the Mateba MTR-8. Just a DA revolver in .38 Special. The hammer is concealed within the frame, but connected to a lever which allows cocking for single-action shooting. It holds eight rounds, which are held by a baseplate that's something of a cross between moonclip and speedloader. This circular plate is an integral part of the mechanism; the gun won't function without it.
Yeah, that's basically all I know. The information was gathered from searching Google, TFL and THR. Does anyone else here know anything else about this gun, or any other Matebas that came before the semiauto revolver? Most importantly...could anyone tell me where I can get one of these things? **** I WANT ONE.
