Matter of time ... just a matter of time ...

I don't reload yet.

Some subtle shift a few months ago prompted me to start saving the brass from the factory .44 Special I fire at the range. Now I've got several hundred once-fired shells stashed away.

A couple of weeks ago I started saving .32 H&R Magnum brass as well.

It's just a matter of time. I can hear the footsteps behind me.

Last time I was at the shootin' store, I spent a while looking at that Hornady single stage press they had on display.

Matter of time.

How best to pass that time:

Get yourself a copy of The ABC's of Reloading and read it. It is a how-to and better yet a why-and-why-not-to kind of book; covers the subject very thoroughly. Afterwards you will have a good handle on what you need and what you don't need to get started, as well as an understanding of the process.

Get The ABC's from yr local sptg gds sto, gun sho, the I'net, or order from the publisher, Krause Publishing, www.krause.com

You'll also need a reloading manual (I favor Lyman's 48th edition, but there are several very good ones) but read The ABC's first. Belongs on every reloader's bookshelf, well thumbed.

BTW, welcome in advance to The Magnificent Obsession.

Oh right, I probably should have added that I already own The ABCs of Reloading and a couple of load manuals. :)

I'm telling you.

Jump in. I have had some foot surgery, so laid up for a few weeks. I'm delighted to have the reloader and enough supplies to let me put a few hundred rounds together each day. It's getting to the point where I'll either need to hit the range or order more brass.
