OK you Mauser nuts, I just got some bolt parts from GPC for my Siamese Mauser project. Problem is the cocking piece locks on the firing pin 90° out of position for the bolt sleeve. As you may know the firing pin and bolt sleeve are slotted to prevent the pin from rotating. This is a pic with the cocking piece locked in the wrong position Question is: which parts are incorrect? Firing pin, sleeve and/ or cocking piece?

Weird.
Take the firing pin out and test fit the cocking piece on it.
The piece should rotate easily but snugly unless something is burred or slightly out of spec.
Mauser's were made by a number of companies to the same general spec, but there WERE minor fitting issues between makers.
Could be you just got miss-matched parts.
As for a miss-match, I'd go with either the firing pin or cocking piece. I don't recall ever seeing a bolt shroud with the slot orientated the wrong way.

Image of Siamese Mauser firing pin which is distinctive https://www.gunpartscorp.com/products/8450 and I am pretty sure that you can't substitute a regular Mauser firing pin. It would also affect how it would fit on the bolt sleeve. Can't tell from your pictures as key features of the firing pin are obscured but I suspect that you have the wrong firing pin.

If your firing pin is the right one, I suspect that the firing pin keys are binding on the cocking piece which requires carefully adjustment so that the firing pin can rotate inside the cocking piece.

Compare to a German made Mauser.
All the Siamese parts
Eg. Firing pin, bolt sleeve and cocking piece have the firing pin flats and the mating surfaces rotated 90 degrees to the authentic Mauser design.

If you are a good machinist make a new firing pin and use a high quality German or FN Mauser bolt sleeve and cocking piece.

Cocking piece is misaligned with respects to the bolt shroud. Put it in a vise, pull back the cocking piece and rotate it.

Did anyone else catch that the OP stated the firing pin and bolt sleeve are slotted to prevent the FP from rotating as well as the post by Ireload2 ???

C'mon guys, READ...

Here are pics of the parts in question. As you can see the Siamese Mauser is different than the 98 Mauser. So if any of you guys happen to have one laying around I am interested. Thanks.

I believe is fitted wrongly!

The Bolt Shroud, firing pin, and the cocking piece are rotated on the Siamese Mauser so normal Mauser 98 and derived including the VZ 24 won't work.

OP, I would suggest calling SARCO as they do have small amounts of some oddball parts that aren't on the website. Hoosier Gun Works and Popperts might also be worth a call. You can also lurk on Fleabay and Gunbroker but I've seen a Siamese Mauser complete bolt a couple of times on Fleabay but have never paid that much attention to smaller parts.
