I have 2 yugo mausers, an M48 and a 24/47(I just got this) and I'm having a feeding issue. It appears that the rounds that load from the left side of the mag pop out before the extractor can grab it for control round feed and it just pushes the round in the chamber, but can't close because the extractor is on the outside of the rim. I didn't have this issue last year so i don't understand. The newer 1, the 24/47 also has the same issue, but not as noticable.

Any ideas?

Thanks for the response and I'll consider all options, but I almost see it as the spring being to strong. It's popping the round out insread of laying it out.

Any thoughts?

You'd think so, but the rounds popping out is often a symptom of a weak spring.

Sounds counter intuitive but in many cases the problem goes away after a new spring is installed.

The weak spring is unable to hold the round in place firmly enough and it can then slip out, that's what I've found anyways.

If you have another mauser which does not have the prob, change the springs over and see.

Mick.
