I can't seem to find any information on what allowable neck thickness is for the 223 Rem cartridge.
My pin micrometer shows .011" to .012" on the case I measured (WCC 96 with the NATO mark).
I'm trying to determine the point at which I should inside neck ream (which I can do) or turn the neck ( for which I will have to purchase the tools).
I believe I've read that neck turning is the best choice, but since I won't be shooting bench rest competition, is the inside reaming that much worse?
Cartridges will be fired in a Remington 700 bolt gun if that makes any difference.
