I work as a team lead for a call center and one of my accounts is a school that offers
classes for active duty military both stateside and overseas. These are offered in both
online classes and through ED centers on or near military bases.

This is not a plug for the school but a comment on the callers that we get who are active
duty and former military. Hands down they are the brightest and certainly most polite callers
we get. Even if they are upset about an issue they remain polite and professional.

I had a caller who was distressed about an issue outside of her control and not her fault.
She said "This is about to make me cuss". My response was "well go ahead". She let off a
blue streak that would make a seasoned sailor blush (pardon the stereotype). The whole time
she kept referring to the issue and not directing her angst at me. She stated that she knew
I had nothing to do with it and kept referring to the situation and what was being done about
it. Once we figured the best course of action she thanked me for my time and letting her vent.

Typically within the first 5 seconds we know who is or has served in the military by how they
present themselves.

My thanks to them and God bless.
