We hold a monthly Tactical Match at The Carolina Star ( www.carolinastar.com ). Here are some pics from the 15 May 2-gun Match.
Stage 1 Fourteen plates from three different positions with a shotgun. Center array was a forward-falling pepper popper (very evil- the speed demons kept shooting it which actually keeps it up longer) with three more plates in line behind it. Fastest time was 23.53 sec.
Stage 2 Five barricades set up in a box shape. Had to shoot from the outside of the barricades so weak hand shooting was required. 9 IDPA targets and 8 plates. 38 rounds minimum with movement between 5 different barricades. Fastest time was 54.31 sec.
Stage 3 The Just-Say-No-To-Crack-House. Take out the lookout and kick in the door. Definately a target-rich environment including a shoot swinger and a no-shoot swinger covering two shoot targets. 24 shot minimum. Fastest time was 13.97 sec.
All times included penalty for points down on the IDPA targets; 1 point down = +1 sec. to raw time.
Another great time at the Carolina Star. Good food, good fun and good competition. We even had the privilege of having a couple of young men from over at Fort Gordon, both recently home from Iraq. Greg and Mitch, thanks for serving your country. We salute you!
