Maybe a new .45?

Thank you, one and all, for the suggestions. Unfortunately, pickin's was slim at the show, with nothing being both interesting and reasonably-priced, so I came home empty handed.

There currently are some very good deals on "police trade-in" M&P .45, not as many as the .40S&W, but they should still be available.

Surprised nobody has said this (or perhaps not..) but lead through a Glock barrel isn't the end of the world and it wouldn't stop me from buying one if I planned to shoot a few hundred rounds of the soft stuff through it. Hickock45 has a video on the subject.

Now that you have purchased nothing, you can look for an actual good deal on Gunbroker.

The CZ 97B has always fascinated me. I just don't need another 45. Though the Sig P227 is calling my name all the time also.

I am suffering the siren call of the 227 myself. At first I wrote it off since 10 rounds for a doublestack .45 seemed silly when I already had 1911s, a sig p245 and p220, amd a Glock 21 and 30.

Then I realized it is the size of a 226, which is only barely larger than my newly beloved 229 and I realized I can CCW it quite easily (the 229 carries like a Glock 19 for me).

So now I'm saving my scheckles for one.

I was doing ok without one, because my HK45 fills that role, but Sig has a Stainless Elite model on their website now, and I kind of hear piccolos and angels sing whenever I look at it.
