Bar Owner Kills Suspected Robber

The owner of the J and M Corner Bar at 3529 E. Baltimore Street in Highlandtown shot and killed 20 year old Jamual Brown just before midnight Wednesday night.
City police say Brown, of the 1700 block of Homestead Street, entered the bar about 11:40pm, displayed a hand gun and announced a robbery. He ordered everyone onto the floor, then took an undetermined amount of money from the cash register.
Police say as Brown turned to leave, he was shot once in the upper body by the bar owner.
Police say the owner fired out of fear for his life. He used a legally registered gun.
Brown died at 12:18am at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Police say the attempted robbery was caught on tape and eyewitness accounts conform with what police say was caught on video.
At this time no charges have been filed against the bar owner
