I've stated on this forum that I rarely shoot my Glocks (17 & 21) because I can't shoot decent groups because of the trigger. The guns group well off a rest so its not the gun -- its my not being able to time the trigger break when the sights are aligned. Fact is I shoot better groups with my Taurus PT145 and PT111 than I do with the Glock 21 and 17 despite the shorter sight radius because I can time the break of the Millenium trigger much better than I can the Glock's.

The other day at the range the guy next to me had a silienced Glock 21. I was not impressed I could still hear every shot he fired from 20' away with my muffs on :) Anyways he offered to let me shoot it. Best group I'd ever shot with a Glock! Every bit as good as what I get with my 3.5" Kimber BP TEN II. Trigger was much better than mine and all the extra weight from the silencer really lowered the frequency of sight wander making it much easier to time trigger break to be at proper sight alignment.

Shot his model 17 too which had no extra weight up front and did good enough to be happy with it. Looks like I'll be looking for these 3.5 lb trigger connector kits at the next gun show!

I tried the 3.5 pound connector and found it to be mushy and unpredictable.
I did the 25 cent trigger job on my standard connector and had really good results.

Also the right lube on the connector/trigger bar/striker tab is very important.
I use to use FP-10 or CLP. I've found lithium grease or synthetic #90 grease to be noticably better. I think the lithium is the best. I use Victor brand lithium paste from the hardware store. Good stuff.
BTW, instead of Q-tips in the link, I used a cotton dremmel wheel in a slow speed cordless drill (you don't want to over do it) and #1200 jewlers ruge as a polish.
I do very little missing with my Glock 20 after the trigger job.
Glock disassembly is VERY easy.

PO2Hammer,

Thanks, well worth a try before shelling out $60 for two connectors.

Find some high-quality high-content molybdenum disulfide grease. I've never found anything that works better for steel-to-steel contact.

It just takes a tiny dab, and after it's been operated a few times, you can wipe off the excess, the tiny moly particles plate onto the steel and keep lubricating until you wash them off with solvent.

Buy a double action revolver, shoot it double action exclusively. 38's are plenty cheap to get enough practice ammo to do some good.

When you learn good mechanics and solid trigger manipulation skills the Glock as it came out of the box will shoot one hole groups with surprising ease. Continue to try to get around the Glock trigger and frustration will result.

There is no comparison between the trigger on my two glocks and any double action revolver I have. The triggers on my Taurus Milleniums shoot like the DA revolvers which is why I hit better with them than I do the Glocks.

I'll try the polish and lube when I get some free time, and look for the Sherrer connector (which I think was what he said he had in his) at the next gun show.
