Measuring group sizes? (App/Software question)

Since I can operate either vernier, dial, or digital calipers with no problem I have never given any thought to a ballistic app of any kind that measures group size. Are they really better and easier to use than just measuring them with a mechanical tool? This is not sarcasm. I am serious about the question.

They do more than just extreme spread (ie group size). They calculated the mathematical center of the group and can tell you the distance the group center (average point of impact) is from the point of aim. They also calculate mean radius of the group. This is useful for some analysis and these calculations though not difficult are much faster and easier using the apps than to measure and calculate with calipers.

Is Sub-MOA an iPhone only app? I don't see it for Android in the play store but the icon for it looks just like the Range Buddy app icon and the examples in this thread looks like Sub-MOA and Range Buddy are the same app for different operating systems.
Replying to my own post... It does appear that Range Buddy and SubMOA are the same program compiled for different OS's. Not sure why the name change but it does appear to be the same program if anyone cares.

Spottr is a pretty good one. Still in development, and developer is taking THR suggestions for several months now.

Hey!
I was also in search of a great app for meazuring group size. I wasn’t happy with existing shooting apps, so I've created my own called SPOTTR.

Here you can easily customize your shootings as well as check out your group size, adjustments for quick zeroing, performance of different bullets and loads, and many more.
Also an update was rolled out recently where I've implemented what users asked me to change.

I REALLY need some honest feedback to make it better, and to decide what features to add next.

You can download the app by the link below
Android SPOTTR - Apps on Google Play
IOS ‎SPOTTR - shooting tracker

Thank you for your feedback! I'm really happy that you like SPOTTRapp. I'll be grateful if you share the information about the app so more people can try it and tell me what else can be improved.
I read all the comments and in the last update I've featured lots of advice like adding an image preview on a result screen, and an ability to change date format.
