What kind of prices are most of those magazines running? I'm planning on buying 4-5 and dont want to be dropping $200.

Edit: never mind I see you posted links

Mec-Gars are quality mags and I have a dozen or so of their 1911 mags. I use them for carry and have never had any issues.

Tripp Cobra mags are awesome but quite pricey. I have more of the Powermags than any other type because they are pretty cheap and they can be found cheaper than the prices on Midway. I think I got a bunch of mine on either CTD or Natchez for something like $18 or $19 a piece, but that was a while ago. .

I found them in Stock at Natchez for $21.99

I dont like the metal follower that bends in the power mags. It looks like the same style as the ruger has. I like the solid plastic follower.

Then IMO your best choice would be the Wilson Combat mags. I have never had an ounce of trouble from one of these either.

Found it at CTD for $31.92 and I found a Wilson Match Mag at Natchez for $27.99

The price on the WC Match Mag is pretty good considering the quality. Good luck on your search :)

Not sure how many threads I've posted this on now, but for me the MecGar's are the most reliable 1911 mags I've found. Specifically model MGCG4508PF. I've compared them to several other mags in several brands, including Colt, Springfield, and Taurus. The Wilson 47-D's did NOT lock back on empty reliably in the Colt or Springfield for me.

As always, your mileage may vary, but I've sold all my Wilson's and McCormick's and bought Mec-Gars.

The only real knock on the Mec-Gar 1911 mags are the base plates are too fat to fit in a lot of magwell funnels, other than that I've never had an issue with them in any of my 1911s.
