I have 1 for a Glock conversion (10mm). Several thousand rounds without a single ftf/fte. The hotter the better it likes. I run max loads of 135, 155 and 165's. I haven't chronoed any. I've had mine for 4 years or there abouts? I know they offer for other mfgs. At 1 time you could get 1 in 357sig, but it was discontinued. Worth every penny in my book!

I have a 1911 version in 45 ACP. Not much too it, straight blow back, same controls as whatever pistol you connect it to.

Expensive for what they are, took me years to find one used at a price I could swallow. It’s one of their less “churched up” versions with the metal flat strap stock, reasonably accurate though.

I have an XDM 10mm CCU. For what it offers it's expensive and heavy. I bought mine to see how fast I could push my 10mm ammo. Mostly mine just sits there because there I have lots of better practical options - just none in 10mm.

I had one for a glock 17 a few years ago. I wasn't a fan. I thought it was heavy and expensive for what it was and I couldn't find a good way to get to the mag release without getting out of shooting position. It might work for some, but not for me.

Does anyone have experience with MechTech carbine conversion units? Please share if you do.
Have had 2. First one was not long after they hit and the great Clinton ban was in. So stock was welded on. HEAVY but a ton of damn fun. After the PCC market took off I sold it when I bought a newer version that you could change stocks on. Both for 1911. The ones made for double stack, like Glock are VERY nice. The only real downside I have ever found is they are heavy but they are VERY well made.

I've got one loads of fun at the range. Mine is a .45 1911, rings steel at 100yds on good days. The recoil sounds like a break barrel air gun ( that sprong sound). With some loads I've gotten 3-4 in groups (sitting and rested) again on good days. Seems that everyone at the range wants to shoot it.
