I always enjoy seeing pictures of other's gun collections, safes, reloading rooms, gun rooms, etc. It is partially because I just like seeing that kind of stuff and partially because seeing how other people arrange and organize their collections and associated gun hobbies gives me ideas. In this thread, please feel free to post pictures of your collections, gun rooms, setups, whatever you'd like. Thanks.

I agree with your interest in such things, but will be curious to see if you get much of a turnout on this thread (it seems a lot of people get worried about putting those pictures up on the forum, though I think the risk is really pretty low). Regardless, my collection is hardly picture worthy compared to some others I've seen around here at times! :)

Here's my cave. This is about two years ago.

I don't have a pic handy with the safes open, but imagine a bunch of rifles and pistols.

You mean like this?

Sorry, I couldn't resist! These pictures, widely viewed online, are of the late Bruce Stern's collection.

My own collection is quite plebian, and currently unavailable, due to the fact I'm not home to snap a photo.

Keep the pics coming. They don't have to be pics of your collection or caves necessarily... they can be someone else's setups too.

There are two more wall like it. And no, it's not a store, it's a private individual who has collected for a long time.

I wouldn't call it a mega collection by any stretch of the imagination ... These pics are about 5 years old just before we moved, on the unfinished side of the basement ... kinda cluttered, I know.

I don't know what he does for a living, but I want a job like that!

His living is actually quite modest. He has gotten a lot of estate's from friends or relatives who passed away and knew he was an avid gun collector, so he got incredible deals.

Not mine - and not reproductions either:

Here's a small piece of another very impressive collection (also not mine):

A friend has an armoured vault (with a thick steel door), which contains just over ninety five milsurp rifles. His ammo count is 31,000 rds. of centerfire.

There is no possibility at all that he would allow a photo to be posted.

I find that attitude rather funny - the unwillingness to post anonymous photos. Ninety five or a hundred milsurp rifles is a lot for most people, but still worth less than the car most people are willing to leave in front of their house. Heck, one nice restored classic car is easily worth more than 90% of peoples' gun collections, and how many people are too paranoid to allow an anonymous photo of their classic car? The car is easier to steal, less secured (how many people have a garage secured to the same level as a gun safe?), and worth more.

The reason is my automobiles are regestered and the .GOV knows I have them. A fair number of my firearms are private sales that are unknown to anyone but me. The less others know that I have on premise the better I can secure them. The old not looking for something that is not there routine.;)

That is why most are unwilling to trot out a picture of hundreds of firearms we might, or might not, own. As it is I am not too anonymous to the locals that know me personally and use the internet.

If you are near louisville in KY call in and see Biff on the Dixie highway and ask him about his Ruger collection. He has one of every model made and they were put on display a few years ago.It took 2 weeks to put them out then pack them up!

I don't have a megacollection, about 76 currently. Almost all are in one of the three safes, allowing for a couple of pistols around the house, and a couple of long guns that don't fit.

i have less than 10 firearms, you guys with 50+ are so lucky. i have to squirrel away for months and wait for a tax return to buy 1. But i'm also only 25 and i support a family of 6 with a single income.

Simonstough: With a family of six, you know you're the lucky one I'd bet! When I was 25 I didn't yet have a family but still had fewer than 10 firearms. I've managed to have a family since then and added about one or two guns a year to the collection. My point being, if you manage to add one nice firearm a year to your collection--and maybe fall into an extra one now an again--by middle age you'll have a larger pile than you need. Then you start thinking, well, these are mostly for the kids anyway...

I can't get into my computer so can't post any photos - I'm at the library. For those who are on other gun boards I've posted photos on several others - Gunboards, K98k, G/K 43 to name a few. On most boards I'm Sarge, Not Sarge13.
I have somewhere around 200 guns - rifles, pistols u. MGs. I also have 3 or4 mortars and about that many shotguns.
There is no such thing as "to many", but there is definately such a thing as "Not enuf!"
Sarge

I had fewer than 10 guns at a time for many, many, years. Family is more important. Kudos to you.

I knew a FFL dealer who kept his long guns in gun socks and just stacked them up in the safe. He could fit a lot of rifles in one safe.
