150 "guests" and 57 members. wont take some of you good folks but a minute or two to introduce yourselves and become a fun loving, benificial member.

I just signed up yesterday. I'm trying to learn all I can about reloading. Mainly 9mm but if I am convinced to do it and am successful I would load other calibers also.
I have signed up for a short class on the reloading process at my LGS.
Will be asking advice on presses etc.

Welcome Barry, good to have you on board.

To all others out there that are guests, please join in on the fun. I have only been a member a few months but I can tell you the following things have occured:

1. People on here have been very helpful when I needed ideas for a CCW gun and holster
2. I feel I have contributed to helping others decide what is best for their needs.
3. I have had some of my views on certain things changed
4. I think and hope I have had an effect on others and helped them see things in a different light.
5. I have engaged in some spirited debates.
6. I have learned a lot about firearms in general.
7.Most importantly, I have connected with a group of like-minded people from all over the country and some internationally. We don't agree on everything but thats the fun part anyway.

Just wanted to share my experience here.

+1 on everything this man has said.

I did sign up a couple weeks ago. Found this site doing a search for something else and a THR thread popped up. Began snooping around and signed up.

Keep in mind, one also shows as a guest when they are not signed in but just browsing...

Good Point

That's an excellent point sir. I grew up shooting here and there, but have only gotten serious about guns, especially from the social and political standpoint, over the last year or so. In that time, I've gleaned a lot from the good folks here at THR, but kept pretty quiet- which I suppose isn't entirely fair of me. I'm all registered, and will make an effort to pipe up a bit more!

Always glad to see more CT folk around here.

Interesting idea, Zach, and I had to check it out. Invisible members show up as members, not guests, when they are logged in.

It's hard to give an exact percentage, but a fairly good percentage of "guests" are registered members who simply haven't logged in.

I think this is a good post. I was a "lurker" on the PDA(?) form of the forum for a looooong time before I decided to join. I always had so much trouble viewing pictures and smilies lol.

I think I lurked about 30 seconds...then I signed up. My wife can't stand it! I don't know why. If I wasn't here I'd be in the basement reloading! Or up stairs making holsters and belts.

Or working on two or three rifle stocks...wea, I spend too much time. Its addictive.

i think a lot of the guests are just members who are too lazy to login or dont do it till they want to post something

OK I'll bite. I live in eastern nc and ride a road star. My favorite guns are the 22's, especially Remingtons, but my 1942 Springfield Garand is my favorite. Nice site.

I have no idea, how or why, but whenever I access THR from my bookmarks, I'm already logged in! Suits me fine. Had just the opposite situation with GunBroker.??
