Came across a good deal on a used Savage 111 (pre accutrigger) in .270 win.

This will be her first centerline rifle, though she's shot mine before. Found it at scheels and she liked the fit, weight and inclusion of iron sights.

Now my winter break project is to come up with a load it likes. Good thing is I've now got good gift ideas for coming holidays like scopes, triggers, a sling etc.

I have basically the same rifle, I think. A Steven's 200. My hunting load is a 140 gr accubond over 58 gr H4832sc for a out 2900 fps. I also have some 140 TSX Barnes bullets but they can be a bit spendy.

Good to know! If I can find any 4832 I'll have to give it a try. Right now I've just got H4831 and H4350 for rifle powders.
