metal frame multi-cal that isn't an AR?

With multiple companies putting out conversion barrels for the Glock platform as well as others (all polymer from my experience), I have to wonder if there is a company doing something similar to metal framed guns that are fairly common. There are a lot of 1911, BHP, Beretta 92, etc duty sized guns that would be a lot of fun in smaller calibers, or simply a different caliber. I have seen a few guns sold new as different calibers, but very seldom a gun marketed as multi-cal or covered as well in aftermarket conversions. In fact the only 2 I am aware of are the 22tcm 1911 and the desert eagle. Are there others out there? Maybe a cz75 conversion...even if it's a different upper like the 22lr conversions.

Sig has 22lr slide assemblies. Ciener used to make them for Beretta's, Hi Powers and 1911s.

CZ has a .22lr conversion for the 75.

Kimber makes one for 1911s, as does Advantage Arms for Glocks (which are, of course, polymer).

I believe the EAA Witness series of pistols is divided into two frame sizes, the larger one being able to switch from 45 to 10mm and the smaller switching from 9mm to 40 s&w. From what I have heard it is just a matter of swapping the upper and magazine. They are steel framed and also have conversion kits available

I remember reading in Guns and Ammo magazine many years ago how they made a 5 in 1gun.They started with a Colt Government in (1) .38 Super and added a (2) .22 Conversion unit, a (3) 9mm. barrel assembly, a (4) .38/45 Wildcat barrel assembly, and got a Commander slide assembly in (5) .45 ACP to fit and work on there as well.

Beretta offered .40 S&W and offers .22 LR uppers for the Beretta 92FS (M9). The .22 LR upper is pretty popular.

I have a 22lr upper for my m9...I'm not impressed. It's very very accurate, but it feeds very inconsistently...after I have adjusted feed lips, polished the ramp, and fought it for several hours. I got a lemon...basically a manually operated slide.
