MFS 7.62x54R Ammo

Hi,

I picked up a couple of boxes of MFS 7.62x54R FMJ 185 gr today. I was wondering how you guys find this ammo and if this ammo will shoot well in a Mosin Nagant 91/30. Anybody know the bullet's diameter? And do 185 gr shoot well in Mosins?

I've shot quite a bit of that from my .223 and it shot OK, never seen any for the nagant but I'd try it. I load 174 .310 and 180 .308 bullets with the same results.

Is this the same stuff as Silver Bear? Non-corrosive right?

I cleaned my mini normally never saw a sign of corrosion, ill have to check the box when I get home to say for sure tho.

I know the 762x39 is barnaul. I'd bet the 762x54 is barnaul as well.

Could be Polish or Hungarian.

I have a feeling it's .310'' diameter bullets as that's what Wolf uses, and when I perform a bullet test on my 91/30, pretty much most of the bullet disappears up to the neck.

My box of 5.56 ammo says made in russia, cant find anything else about it tho LOL.
