Mi CCW question

Did I hear correctly that now you can carry any others individuals pistol, as long as you have a CCW and the gun is registered? I was not happy when I got my CCW that I could not carry my wife's gun and hers mine.

If so this would be great.

That is state-specific, so we need to know what state you live in. Florida has no gun registration or requirement to list guns on permits, so we can carry whatever we want. Other states are not so accomodating. It sounds like yours is probably one of them.

Yep, that law was passed last year. You can swap guns with your wife all you want.

As of July of last year you may carry (with a cpl) any regi.. um I mean "Safety Inspected" handgun

years ago ... shortly after i graduated from skool (NH) i went back home to MI (suburban Detroit) for the summer and took all my handguns that i acquired in NH with me.

i went in to my local p.d. to get the guns "safety inspected."

for those unfamiliar with MI law, each handgun needs to be "inspected" by the local LEO. for what, i have no idea, but what it ends up being is a registration process. you get a little green card (for each handgun) for your trouble.

so I'm at the LEO's office after i say hello to the LT in charge, I present my first gun out of the bag ... a clunky S&W 4506 ... and I very distinctly remember him angrily saying "just what the hell are you going to do with this?!!!!".

i kept my mouth shut but walked out feeling a little flustered.

fast forward to last week in another state.

I'm talking to the chief of police in my town.

Jefe: "hmmm, so you're getting a Knight's suppressor for your Mk23? very nice, too bad our department can't afford them ... we have the cheaper AWC's. The Statie SWAT guys get all the nice toys though. Where do I sign?

Slob: Sir, on the back of the Form 4, in duplicate pleeze.

Jefe: Okay, there you go, enjoy!

Slob: Thank you Sir, may I lick your boots?

In Ohio you can not only carry any gun you want too, but you can also carry as many as you want too....

There is a bill sitting in both the house and senate to get rid of the so called safety inspection.
