A man was open carrying in Michigan and someone called 911 and the man was stopped. Ordered to lay down on the ground while the cop ran a mental health and criminal check on the man. The man broke no laws although the article says he was treated like a criminal.
The man filed a lawsuit claiming his rights were violated and the court ruled against him. The article says that the ruling will be appealed to the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and the NRA offered to assist with appeal.

Open Carry is also specifically allowed under Michigan law.
