Bummer, he made a huge impact in the reloading world. I hope the company continues being one of the best there is.

he made a huge impact in the reloading world

He covered both ends of the spectrum, with his reloading machines and his Dillon Aero mini-gun to keep 'em busy!
:)

RIP.

Sorry, I dont use Facebook.
You don't need to join Facebook to see the blurb.

Sorry to hear of Mike's passing; he built up one heck of a company focused on reloading. I've had a 650 for almost 25 years now and have purchased lots of other stuff from them over the years... R.I.P. Mike.

I used to work just down the road from Dillon Precision in Scottsdale back in the late 80's. We used to go down and drool over the presses and his nice collection of firearms. I purchased my first 550 before moving back to CO in '89. What a great press. I sold the first one in the early 90's and got back into reloading a few years ago and have another 550. I didn't even consider another brand. R.I.P. Mike

Mike Dillon invented the no BS warranty, other companies had to go along with it in order to remain completive. He stated he did not want anyone angry with him. No one is angry Mike. RIP

He definitely was a leader in the Reloading industry and a mainstay in the move to progressive reloading. He will be missed but he left a fine legacy which we can be reminded of every time we see our Dillon blue machines. May he rest in peace.

OK. Now I am going to buy a 550. Done with the Red stuff, keeping the Lyman and RCBS, but going Dillon for bulk. Visited his place while rehabbing from back surgery and while I didn't meet him, his staff was top notch. Heck, I'm getting up in years. Rather spend my time shooting than loading and his stuff will facilitate that.
RIP, Mike.

Started with a SDB in the mid 80's and upgraded to a 650 XL in the mid 2000's.

RIP Mike and thank you.

A great company! I hope this doesn't affect the future of their great products!
I own 2 SDs. Looking at a 550 when I retire.

Has he actually died? Facebook recently fat fingered something, announced about half its members died, turned out to be complete BS..

I have a 450 & a 550
When I purchased the 550 the instruction book had not been printed yet,
They sent me a hand drawn booklet to use the machine--
it worked just fine.
Don't use the 450 anymore & the 550 once in a while
GREAT PRODUCTS

I've had my 550 & other accessories for many more years than I wish to dwell upon...I everything worked as well as Mike Dillon's equipment, life would be much simpler & more enjoyable! He was a leader for many years!! My condolences to his family and friends! Rest in Peace, Mike!
