Hi Everyone,

This is my first post, so I hope it's in the right section. I'm wondering if anyone knows if there is anywhere to buy WWII military-style stocks for modern rifles. I absolutely love the look of the full-length wood stock the surrounds the barrel, like on the M1 or 1903. Is there anywhere I can buy one like that for, say, my Remington 700? I know, I know...it's going to add weight... I know that I can buy an M1 Carbine look-a-like stock for a 10/22, but I'm hoping that there are stocks available for other rifles as well. Thanks for any help you can offer...

I dont think ive seen any for sale, you might have to get it custom made or atleast fitted to your action. Honestly i wouldnt be surprised if there are stocks to make a production gun, winchester, rem, etc look like a 1903 or sum such. I just havent run across them

There are some hunting rifles available with full stocks. These are usually referred to as Mannlicher type rifles. CZ makes a bunch of them. Ruger does from time to time. Not sure about other manufacturers.

Well let me know if you make a wood Mannlicher (International) stock for an m1 Carbine.

Ive actually seen one of those. My LGS may still have it, he was asking 175 if i remember correctly

Those full lengthers only look right on military stocks. Civilians ones just look uncircumsized...if I can say that here.

For the price of a new, semi-custom stock you can buy an actual milsurp rifle, original stock included...

I agree. You can get an '03 Springfield for $500-700 or thereabouts, for example.
