Jmurman,

I've got about 48 # of the pulldown IMR4895 powder. Great powder. While the burn rate may vary somewhat from lot to lot, you can use the load info for commercial IMR4895 without problems.

I refuse to use powder...

sold at a gun show in milk jugs with the type of powder written in majic marker by bubba...........chris3

Woah I haven't seen any in milk jugs. I'd have an issue with the static electricity and where it really came from. It's not like clean, uncontaminated gallon metal containers aren't procurable.

Chris,

I don't believe he is talking about questionable powder sold in milk jugs. I am assuming he is talking about the powder currently sold by Widener's and other reputable dealers.

USSR...thats exactly what I am talking about. Widners has "containered" clearly marked as Govt Powder. GI Brass has pull down powder, but I wouldn't buy that. I was more interested if anyone has used Mil Surplus powder and how it compares to Commercial.

I guess that without a Chrono I'd pretty much be in the dark regarding the stats.
