I've noticed holsters that are very reminiscent of the Milt Sparks VersaMax 2 from other manufacturers.

Are any of these especially notable?

Thanks.

I've seen some good reviews for the TT Gunleather model. I actually bought one a few weeks ago, but lucked out and picked up a VMII from TopGun last week, so I'll probably sell the TT Gunleather when I get it.

IMHO spend the extra couple of bucks and get the real thing. It might look like the same thing, but I can damn near guarantee ya that the quality will not be the same.

If you have never actually put your hands on a sparks I will highly recommend that you do.

Lots of guys that swear by the sparks, are saying good things about the Comp-tac MTAC. It is a leather kydex hybrid, very adjustable, and with less than a week lead time. I ordered mine on Monday and it was here on Friday.

It is not going to appeal to the "leather craftsman" crowd, but it is very comfortable and functional.

The upside of a VMII is you can always sell it for what you have into it since the supply is limited and leadtimes are long.

I've got the CTAC, Tucker Texas Heritage and Brommeland Max Con V, along with the VM2.

The VM2 is my favorite although for my purposes they are all equally functional.

If you've ever owned a Sparks you know every holster they make meets the same quality standards. It is the standard by which others are judged.

If you have the time to wait six months and can afford their holsters you will never regret it.
