Look for a CC holster for a Commander length Officers frame 1911. Experiences with either of these would be appreciated.

Thanks

I have the VM II. Great holster.Only drawback is the 24-30 week wait

I have one for my G29SF, Smith 1076 and my Kimber and Delta Elite 10MM.

worth the wait IMO

I've had both. I like the VMII better, but hate the wait time. If you decide that you don't like it or if you sell the gun, if your VMII is still in good shape you will get your money back if not more when you sell it.

The Max Con is a close 2nd to the VMII if you don't want to wait over 6 months for a VMII.

I wore my VMII at 3:30 to 4 o'clock postion and the Max Con was more comfortable at 4:30 to 5 o'clock.

Specific use preference

I spend a lot of time seated. Much of that is strapped in a seatbelt/harness. The Bromeland Max-Con with its 'wing' and sharper angle of presentation provides both comfort and accessability. Understand that I pretty much carry the Commnder where the outseam of my jeans bisects the center of the holstered pistol.

A close second has been the FIST M14.

Hopefully I won't be struck by lightening or burned at the stake as a heretic, but either of those trumps by a wide margin leather from Horseshoe or Lou.

Its all subjective.
