MIM parts in Springfield emp.

Can someone tell me exactly which parts in a Springfield EMP are MIM?

I want to change out as many of them for good forged parts.

Actually, MIM parts got a bad rap before all the quality manufactures figured out how to do it right. They know how now.

Most MIM parts will be things that are otherwise typically made from cast steel, or stamped or machined bar stock steel, not forged.

Is their a aftermarket parts, now for the little EMP Since it was made from ground up I know 1911 parts wont fit. Last time I checked their was nothing out their as far as parts. Holsters and their was some mags.That one reason I didn't buy one .

I think you are a bit confused.

Many (most?) 1911 parts will fit the EMP...the most obvious exception being the trigger bow. There also are EMP specific aftermarket parts available...very high quality ones too.

The only mags made for the EMP are manufactured by Mec-Gar and available directly from Springfield...they had a sale not too long ago on mags, but I don't recall the price
