I attended this weekend. It was a very humbling experience. I thought I was a decent shot with a rifle but I found out otherwise.

I could blame it on the rack grade M1 Garand that I took without having a chance to sight in but I'm sure it was mostly me.

I learned alot about my rifle. It functioned very well but had a couple of hic-ups that were quickly fixed. For a 63 year old rifle that was in the dust and wind for 2 days and sending 350 rounds down range, I was impressed.

There was an gunsmith on staff that took care of any other rifles that broke down and could not be corrected by the very knowedgable and helpful instructors.

Much of the stuff we were taught I have read about and tried on my own but it is a much different to put them to use and have an instructor there to let you know what you are doing right and what you need to work on.

I did not come anywhere close to qualifying as a rifleman but I have plenty of things to practice to get to that point. I also met several people form my area and plan on getting together with them and honing our new skills together.

For the money, this is a bargin. I spent more on gas and hotel than I did on the class. I highly recommend it to anyone.
