mini 30 7.62x39 woodstock

I own a standard wood stock on my mini 30 ,which I like . I am looking for a wood handguard assembly for mine. I saw photos of a members law enforcement version mini ruger, and I liked that full wood stock look on top and bottom. I like it better than the metal handguard. it gives that look of the M1 carbine 30 .any body know were that could be purchased? thanks for any input!!!:banghead:

Ultimak makes a nice looking aluminum rail that replaces the handguard... better than plastic and can mount a scout scope.

Haven't seen wooden handguards. Even if you did find one it probably wouldnt match all that well.

I played with a mini setup like that at the Ultimak shop in Moscow ID.. was pretty cool

I have seen early Mini-14's with the wooden handguards that you are describing. They were a Ruger factory item that was phased out when the plastic ones were introduced, and yes, I agree that they look a lot better than those platic ones

I do not know if they made them for Mini-30's or not.
