Hello all!
I've recently started a new job and wanted to get peoples opinions or experiences on trying to carry during work, when carrying would at the least be a large faux paux.
I currently carry a 5" 1911 in a CompTac C-TAC holster. I really do love the holster and feel it does an admirable job at concealing a large pistol. It's a pipe dream, however, to imagine I can successfully conceal a full-size gov't model under a tucked-in shirt. 'Tuckability' is a wonderful virtue of the C-TAC, but not around the 1911.
My only other option for carry is a Glock 33. The requirements for concealability are that it must be, as said, under a tucked shirt, and that no one can find out that I'm carrying. I will be working while standing around others, and in close proximity. The blessing is that the vast majority of the time, I'll be wearing a white jacket (which softens the requirements considerably) as would typically be worn by a pharmacist.
My question is if anyone here has successfully concealed a mini-glock, or a pistol of comparable size, along the belt under a tucked shirt? Instances where people used the specific holster in question would be particularly useful. If you used another method of concealment or another holster make, what was it?
Before suggestions are made, no other model of pistol can be substituted for the Glock, and it will not be sold or traded in. It will happen with that piece or not at all, at least for quite some time.
