Minnesota CCW Status?

Anyone heard any news about the status of Minnesota's CCW law? I haven't seen anything in the news for about a month. The Supreme Court acted quickly on the Independence Party's exclusion from the ballot. Any movement on the CCW front?

The briefs have been filed in the appeals court. It looks like stuff will happen in October. After that, on to the supreme court.

Thanks Goalie. Will it go all the way to the Supreme Court, or will the lower court decide the matter?

It will be appealed to the Supreme Court, no matter how the appeals court rules.

If the Supreme Court agrees with the appeals court decision, the Supreme Court might decide not to re-hear the case.

Just to clarify, there is no right to have the Minnesota Supreme Court decide a case like this. Once the Court of Appeals makes its decision, either party may request the Minnesota Supreme Court to review the case, but only about 8% or 9% or so of those requests are granted. In the large majority of the cases, the decision of the Court of Appeals will therefore be final.
