This lawmaker actually said the 15 and 16 year committing the armed car jackings and gun crimes would have to go through training and the process to get guns.

I'm they'll do that right after shooting and murdering a car jacking victim.

15 and 16 year olds can't even legally buy handguns here at that age. And since they can't they certainly aren't buying their guns legally or at commercial places like Gander Mountain or Cabelas.

every time I hear a politician use the "easy access" line I want to say "I wish guns were as easy to buy as politicians" or "I wish guns were as easy to get as crossing the border, getting welfare, and voting while not being a US citizen"

there's no stupid quite like an ignorant politician jumping on a bandwagon to get recognition.

Nonsense. Democracy works, dumb ideas get floated all the time, and being dumb, they get shot right back down. When it comes to 2A rights and dumb attempts to restrict them, exposing the dumb is the best way to fight it.
If all dumb ideas were "shot right back down" we would not have 90% of the gun laws that are on the books today.

It's hard to decide who is dumber; the politicians who come up with these ideas, or the voters who elect them.
Never attribute to incompetence or stupidity what could be better attributed to malice. These laws are designed to capture votes from one coalition. The fact that they violate the rights of another coalition does not matter if the first is larger and can keep said politician in power and in a position to gain financially from that position.

Greed by the politicians for power and greed by those who vote for them for handouts.

They say democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting what to have for dinner.

I don't want democracy, I want our Constitutional Republic back, it has been eroding for over 100 years and is hardly recognizable anymore.

"And we would have limits so that some of these 16-year-olds couldn't.”

I’m just not sure I want 15-16year olds being trained to commit carjackings and murders, process or no.

And would a 16 year old even abide by a limit on carjackings per day? Guns bought or stolen per day?I’m guessing not.;)

You can’t fix stupid, but we in MN can seem to elect it with great regularity.
Not we. That would be the Twin Cities and even Duluth. Cities get to ruin states. The consensus in my neck of MN is we're tired of these people. But they get the majority come election time. Just like how Colorado got owned. Washington. Oregon. Even Texas might be next.

Gee, they can be like Illinois. Requiring a license (FOID card) since 1968!!
