I have found this load to be very accurate in my SP101 3".

Anybody have a favorite load for the 45 ACP 230 gr RN softball bullet using Unique?

I have 2 Speer manuals that show 5.3 - 5.8 and two Lyman books that show the top end around 7 grains. 7 seems way too high to me.

I think 5.5gr Unique seems to be the magic sweetspot for a lot of people, but YMMV. Some people say that 6.0gr mimics the old hardball. I've not tried that.

For my 45 ACP

4.8grains of titegroup with either 200 grain lead round nose or swc is a nice target/fishing load. It is also the published max for 230 gr jacketed so I use it for the lighter bullets as well. Pretty accurate, easy to handle load.

For my particular 270 win, ( the only load for MY rifle ive found so far that will shoot 1/2 to 3/4 in groups)

The rifle is a m77 ruger that has never shot under an inch and a half till I glass bedded it and started this load.

62.5 gr H1000

Hornady 140 gr Interlock BTSP. Has been a devastating deer slayer so far. Really like those bullets.

Gonna try some SST in the same bullet weight and see what happens.

Havent used long shot, but Lil Gun is some good stuff for a 357.

16.5 grains behind a 158 gr Hornady XTP will shoot pretty snotty and 1 in groups at 100 yards out of my Marlin 1894. My daughter used it to deer hunt.

Lee 2nd edition lists h110 23 grs for a velocity of 1413 fps in a 240 gr JACKETED bullet. This is a starting load--never exceed is 24 grains. Min OAL is 1.600.

Looks like H110 is used more in heavier lead bullets and some light jacketed ammo.

This is 44 Rem mag--not special

dragon68 might have a tad more speed from extra 2" barrel. Nice solid groups at hunting distances

This is from the Lyman Cast Bullet 4th Edition for 44MAG....NOT special.
I'd follow this one, not the 245gr.

9mm 147 sub-sonic, new favorite bullet. 4.5 gr. Power Pistol 1.13 OAL. (Start at 4.1 work up) These drop test and cycle perfect in XDm and sub compact 9mm. Like the ogive profile better than the 125 gr small ball.

I like their .45 ACP bullet: 200 gr BB-TWC with 5.3 gr of Winchester 231 or HP38, Winchester Lg Pistol Primers, and Winchester Brass for 840 fps from a 5" barreled Ruger SR1911. This is a sub-2" combination at 25 yds from rest. As always: this load is safe in my guns, your results may not be the same; you should work up slowly looking for excess pressure signs.
