Hi guys I have some bullets coming from Missouri Bullet co. I am going to try the .357 Action in 158gn and the 240gn elmer keith in 44 mag these are the coated Hi-tek ones. I have the Lyman 49th edition manual and the closest I can find is 155gn linotype for .357cal I was looking for loads using unique but they dont list any, they do list 2400 H-110 which I have also should I use this load data or would you use jacket data -10% from starting load

I'm a little confused by your post.
As far as I can see (from the website)
the "Zinger" is by definition 140 gr.
"Action" is the 158 gr.
"Striker" and "Pugnose" are 180 gr.

Assuming I read that right, which are you using?

I am using the action 158gn I thought they were the zinger but they are indeed the 158gn

I have loaded and shot a bunch of the MBC 158s both coated and uncaoted with different powders. The ones I loaded with Unique were medium power, 5.5gr of Unique. (don't have the chrono numbers for these) Older Alliant data 2005 lists 158 LSWC 1.55 OAL, 6.8 MAX 1295 fps 33600 PSI pressure. Reduce 10% to start.
Current Alliant Data list 5.2gr Unique MAX 158 LSWC for .38 Special P+ loads. 919 FPS pressure not stated. It should be safe to use this as a starting load in .357 cases. (This is just my opinion not a stated fact in the data)
I think Unique works good for mid-mid-heavy loads in .357 but if you are after full maganum velocity I would use a different powder.

For lighter loads Lyman lists Unique in .38 special 4gr 790fps 4.5 871 fps (max .38 load) The Max .38 load should be fine in .357 cases. (light-medium to med .357 load)

I've used 357Action & Unique
I loaded 'em light for minimal recoil.

Data from Alliant:
158gr LSWC - 6.8gr of Unique, 1295fps, OAL 1.580, Pressure 33,900 (they don't say if that's CUP or PSI)

Also, there's a program you can download for free - Reloader's Reference.
I find it to be quite handy.
My load is closer to 6.0 for 357 Action.

I just went through my sample pack of the Action! Coated .357 semi-wadcutters from MBC.

I settled on 15.5gn of Win296 for my magnum loads. Min 15.0, max 16.7. If I've been told correctly, H110 is identical to Win296.

The current Alliant load tables are only showing loads for Speer cold formed LSWC's, not cast bullets.
These swaged bullets have lower limited velocities than the cast bullets. You'll have to get load data from older Alliant catalogs or other sources for cast. Swaged bullets are a different animal.

Old Lyman data #44 shows more than 6.8 of Unique.
I won't say how much but more but more. (and I would not reccomend more)
For light loads I like a powder faster than Unique, it's about right for medium loads. (just dirty at low charges) IMO
If you want them hot use the H10 or 2400, that's what they were made for.
As VanGoghComplex and others have said you can drive them fast if you want to. This is not the case with soft lead bullets.
What powder just depends on what you are after.
