MN Hunting Question-Shotgun Zones

First off, all of my shots are within 100yds where I hunt.

Can you legally hunt in a shotgun zone using a pistol caliber rifle such as a Henry in .357 or a M1 Carbine? The Carbine is iffy but if I could legally hunt with a .357 pistol, why not the same caliber in a rifle?

The regs are very clear on this.

Here in WI shotgun zone includes pistols, even in 300Win Mag Go figure DNR.
NO pistol caliber rifles.
