Model 10-5 needs work

I have a 10-5 built in 1968. I would like a once over done to it and options on sights for it. I have checked with C&S and they are 10 months out on work. Can anyone suggest a good smith to give this oldie some lovin that is not on such a long wait????

Randy Lee's the name that gets kicked around the most, it seems, but my bet is his wait time is long as well. Maybe be overkill for what you want anyway.

I also hear great things about Randy Hollowbush & Mark Hartshorne.

It's ironic, though, that Mike Carmoney isn't mentioned in that thread, as he does many of the action jobs for top competitive wheegunners. Even if you don't want a fully "Carmonized" race gun, he does great work, with fast turnaround and reasonable prices. I can personally recommend him.

Having adjustable sights installed will be expensive, like $300+. For that you could (almost) buy a .38 Spl Model 15 that has factory adjustable sights.
