Storage!!!...That gun needs to be shot. It's definitely a shooter class gun. Or better yet, sold to me, so I can shoot it. I have a 12ga & 16ga Model 12. I'll add a 20 someday. They're a little harder to come by around here.

$400? Uh, yeah you did okay.

My father was offered $650 for his ten years ago. He had multiple offers around that price at one gun club he belonged to and his has a full choke. Full was useful when he bought it back in the '50s, but it isn't as popular nowadays.

daverifflegunsales has a real nice one with a MOD choke. I don't know if I'd pay what he's asking, but here it is...

"Winchester Model 12, 20 Gauge, 28" Field Grade, Choked Modified Mfr. in 1959
98& + Blue and 99% Varnish. Nice Standard Field Grade Stock to Original Butt Plate, with Matching Beavertail Forearm.
$ 1,350.00"

Subgauge model 12s are an expensive proposition at the best of times.......usually.

Nice score. If you are going to grease it for storage you might as well just turn it for a profit right now and buy something you will use.

My husband has the same gun and we have been offered double that - so I would say you did pretty good!! Looks just like his!

I think you can make a couple hundred at least . The 20ga. guns are much harder to find than the 12 or the 16.
