I've got a nice S&W 15-3, it came with the original service grips. Didn't seem to fit well, so I bought a Tyler T, which helped a little. Still, I'm having a problem keeping a good grip on the gun, it really likes to ride up in my hand, and I'm getting tired of having to reposition every other shot! It seems to me that either 1) my grip is all wrong (don't recall having this problem on my dad's Trooper MkIII), or 2) these stupid, blocky magnas are to blame. I feel like the grips may be to "square" in profile for my hand. Any advice? I feel like magna sized "coke bottle" grips would be about perfect, does anything like this exist?

First off, I too find the service magna grips to be entirely too small for adequate grip when shooting. On the other side, all of those "oversized" rubber grips that everybody loves are too big for me.

What I've found I like so far are Ahrend's smooth tacticals. They're a bit square in profile though, and may not suit you. Here's a picture of my gang together:

From left to right: M-18 with smooth tacticals in cocobolo, M-19 with Hogue Monogrip (not sure of the wood, this one came with these), M-586 with Ahrend's in maple, M-629 with nylon Hogue Monogrip with bottom finger groove smoothed off. The N-frame hasn't been swapped to something else because I've been considering selling it.

From your description you might like a set of S&W Target stocks. Maybe you can find somebody who has a set you can grip first to see?

I like the Classic Pachmeyer grips. They make a large and small size. The picture below shows my S&W 67 which is essentially a stainless model 15 with the small size Pachs. I have tried a variety of grips of different type and style on this revolver but always come back to these.
