Just got a barely used CT-made Winchester Model 70 with synthetic stock in 270wsm. The fixed floorplate appears attached by 2 screw or bolts. I would prefer a hinged floorplate. Is this possible for me to swap easily? If so what parts are needed and where from?

It can be done, but will probably cost more than it's worth. You will probably have to buy a new stock as well as the bottom metal. The bottom metal sells for around $170 unless you can find something used on e-bay. A new stock could vary between $100 for a Boyds laminated stock to upwards of $500 for a McMillan. Even the used stocks I've seen on E-bay sell for over $100.

Dang so much for that. I got the rifle with scope for 200ish. Looks like I will learn to top eject.
