Model 94 7-30 Waters

In glancing through Blue Book, the only two models made in 7-30 Waters were the M94 Standard and the M94 XTR. BB says a premium is added on both models for 7-30. Does not give a production number. The dickens of it is that I looked at one last Saturday at the gun show in Montgomery. Never knew who the dealer was that had it, tho. :cuss:

The .450 may be hard to find, as well. It was only produced in the M94 Short Hunter Takedown. BB says there was "limited mfg." in 2006. Again, no production figures.

I looked at all models listed, but could have missed one....:D.....Al

There are several advertised on the net (Google "Winchester 7x30") for what would seem reasonable prices given the rarity. But no indication of the production figures.

The Buffalo Bill museum has the old Winchester records, but I don't know if they have the late USRAC ones or not. Maybe the FNH folks have them as they are the holder of the Winchester name now.

Thanks guys, if you run across anything keep me posted. I know that they are fairly spendy based on the ones I saw online just don't know how scarce just like the timber carbine in 450 marlin.

The shop I used to work at saw them somewhat regularly - the caliber is still popular among certain circles.

The gun's not common, but I saw probably one a year come through the doors. In practice, the book markup on it didn't hold - it's an extremely niche gun.

A NIB model or LNIB would be worth the markup IMO if you had a similar collection of other variants, but anything else can probably be talked down or just waited for if you're patient.
