Hello to all the gun guys and gals, new to posting here but read all the time. I have a $$ question. What is a Model 94 AE Winchester .307 worth? I have used a bore light and looks very clean, almost out of the box clean, no rust anywhere stock in excellent condition with now issues at all. I trust the guy that showed me the gun, but not sure about this caliber. I thought he was crazy at first but now I know the true story and was wondering what should I pay low and high price.

The other option is a 300 Weatherby Vanguard no issues to speak of but no scope, would have to buy a scope for $419 used, or looking at new Howa 1500 Ranchland with Nikko Sterling Scope camo edition for $527.:banghead:

Update, I have been offered first shot at a Remington 700 ADL .300 win mag with irons, rails for scope, rings and tasco World Class 3-9X50 scope for $475, should I jump at it or keep looking?

What will you be using the rifle for ? Really hard to make a recomendation with no info on intended purpose.

.307 is a good cartridge, but unless you are a handloader, I would not recommend it, as factory ammunition is not exactly easy to find.

As far as value........if the .307 is like new, maybe 700 + or -. If it is a pre-crossbolt safety model, they tend to be more desirable and may fetch a a bit more.

Thanks

Most of its use is for hunting, I do hand load and also like to just shoot paper as well. I fully intend on using the rifle if it is bought, I also like the fact that it is not an everyday caliber and would like to turn heads like it did mine when you say .307. As far as the factory loads, Cabelas has them listed in there new catalog call the shooting bench I believe is the name. Only one brand however and that is the Winchester.

Thanks for input, will keep posted once decision is made!

I've wanted a pre-safety Big Bore 94 for years. I would grab the .307 but would rather have a .356 or .375. They are very well made rifles.

Thanks for all the advice and help, Unless someone comes up with a reason for not getting the 700 I am going to find a way to get both the 700 and the 307. I will post results of firing once I get them and site them in.
