I just finished a reaseal on a Mondial Oklahoma .177 smooth bore pellet pistol. There is nothing out there on how to do it so it was a experience. a surprisingly well built low power pistol. The seals are leather so I made piston seal. The breach seal was made from a faucet washer trimmed to size, it seemed to be leather cork. The pistol itself is of a simple but sturdy design. , The pistol is made from two non-ferrous metal frame pieces that are held together by screws and hex nuts all around the frame.
total of six. When they are the pistol comes apart, and the pieces held on pins inside. The breach block pivot pin side of the gun is removed and all the other parts lay on the opposite side. There are not alot of them. This gun is extremely easy to work on. The spring pin is a length of tubing so the housing pins and rear screw hold it in place, remove it and the spring guide, spring and piston are easily removed. all the other part sit neatly on there pins. Only two springs are used other than the main spring. One for the trigger and the other for the cocking latch.
I used a notched wood dowel to compress the spring to reinstall the pin.
Before the seal the gun average fps was 180's. After I completed it with 7.4 grain Crosman its average is 219fps and with Crosman lead free 4.0 grain 266fps. It's not the most accurate or powerful gun. But is interesting and well thought out and constructed. Also fun to shoot.,
